This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I am a teacher in a K-8 school where my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. I am trying to keep things simple and engaging while providing creative and meaningful learning experiences. My students come to class excited and ready to learn when they can engage in hands-on activities or virtual labs.
My students have learning disabilities but are very creative and clever.
Many of my students are learning disabled or come from bilingual homes. Inspiring students to love science and excel is my goal.
My Project
The use of technology is a daily activity in my classroom because students are engaged in virtual science labs or activities which require research or typing. Since most of my students are unable to do research or reports because it is not financially viable for their parents, I allow them to do research or type during class.
My personal computer or iPad is being used by my students daily because I don’t want anyone to feel different because they don’t have the resources at home to complete an activity started in class.
