My Students
Help me give my students access to earbuds in order to help enhance their interaction through distance learning.
How can students complete assignments when they do not have a quiet place to continue their learning?
Now at home, they must share space with siblings and other relatives. Our school has a limited budget; therefore, we need to source these items elsewhere.
My students come from economically disadvantaged homes.
My classroom is composed of 75% English learning students, who happen to live in a condensed community within the inner city. Our school has almost reached 100% free and reduced-price meal program. Most of my students' parents work long and late hours just to make ends meet, therefore homework and project-based learning assignments must be completed in school where technology is accessible to them, but with school closures that is not an option.
My Project
Have you tried to complete an assignment with all sorts of distractions around you? Well, that is what my students are currently encountering with distance learning. Now that they are at home they must find ways on how to concentrate on their assignments. Many times they stay up late at night when it is all quiet so that they can finally focus on their reading, writing, and math problems. They are at home with relatives, pets, and other devices around them that make loud noises and are very distracting. These earphones will make it possible for them to block out the noise and complete their assignments.
