This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I never saw myself as an actor. I really didn't. However, when you get the chance to stand in front of 30 bright-eyed students, you have to be. I sing, I dance and I have mastered the voices of many different cartoon animals. I understand the responsibility of a great first impression of the school. It warms my heart that such a simple gesture has become such an essential part of their school day.

I teach a bilingual classroom where all 30 of my students are English Language Learners.

My students love to read and are eager to solve problems every single day. The school I proudly work at serves a low-income population of primarily Hispanic students. Despite many hardships, my students always come in motivated and ready to learn!

My Project

These materials will make a huge difference in my students' learning. While we are digitally learning, students also need some opportunity to practice their handwriting.

These journals will help my ELL students learn and practice a sight word everyday with a short activity!

These journals have about five different activities for my students to practice for about 10 minutes a day. I love the variety of the journal so my students will not get bored. This will be used as an assessment after my google meets with them. It will be a short exit ticket after my instruction!
