I have twenty-six very excited kindergarteners this year! Their thirsty little minds are ready to go when it comes to learning. My goal is to ensure all my students are given the best education possible in order for them to reach their goals.
Young learners love to explore the world around them and need the proper tools to help them learn.
My promise is to offer my students the best possible education! After all, they ARE the future of America!
My Project
The materials for this project will help my students learn the alphabet and to read sight words. Sight words can be tricky for students to learn since many of the words cannot be sounded out with phonics skills. Many sight words have to simply be memorized.
Students learn best whenever they are actively moving around instead of sitting and listening and this SnapWords system is one of the best out there to get kids to know sight words quickly!
This Snap program and flashcard set are AMAZING! It presents the alphabet and sight words with fun visual pictures and then provides fun actions to help students learn each skill. The teaching cards will be used to teach the alphabet and sight words during class instruction. The pocket chart cards will be displayed on a word wall for students to reference during reading and writing lessons throughout the day.
