Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My classroom is filled with 22 beautiful leaders each morning. More than half of these students are English Learners, and 2 of them have joined us from a different country in the last school year. Because the pandemic spread before these students began kindergarten, they have had to face more challenges than other first grade students in the past. More than half of my students are experiencing in person schooling for the first time ever, and 5 of my students are attending school for the very first time.
Some of my students are learning how to read and write for the first time ever!
Each child is hard at work reaching for their literacy, fluency, and math goals.
My Project
These materials will be used in the classroom during daily small group time, after school tutoring, and learners' choice times. They are games and supplies that will help my learners progress in literacy and fluency.
I want them to have fun while they learn!
My students love playing educational games in the classroom and I would love to have these extra choices for them. They will benefit from the sight words and letter building games in these materials. They will be having so much fun, they won't even realize they are learning!
