This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our English Language learners in Kindergarten through 5th grade have been working so hard all year to assimilate and mainstream in their new culture and school environment. Many of these students are new immigrants to this country. They have faced many traumatic challenges back in their native homeland and as well have experienced culture shock here in the USA. However, they have become resilient at our supportive school community and are thriving!
I would like to recognize all their hard work and accomplishments.
This project will help validate just that! The goal is to make each of these immigrant students, feel special! I would like to hold a culminating ceremony and hand out these medals. These medals will become a keepsake in which the students can keep as long as they can. Please help me make this happen!
