This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Did you every have to go to school without the requested school supplies because your family could not provide it? Some of my students face this every year. Will you be the one to supply items?

Our school community is situated in a neighborhood stricken by a high level of poverty.

Most of my students qualify for the free or reduced lunch program. Their families struggle financially to provide the basic necessary things such as clothing and/or food. This nonetheless does not make them any different than any other child. They are so eager to please and are ready to lend a helping hand to their teacher(s). They are ready each day to absorb any lesson prepared for them.

My Project

The selected materials will be valuable items for my students. They will use the multipurpose headphones throughout the day when they log into the Istation and Think Through Math programs. These reading and math websites are audio programs. So, when all are on it, it is difficult for them to focus with the whole class logged in. They will be able to listen and complete lessons without any distractions. The Mobile Listening Center will be used to neatly organize and store the headphones when not in use. They will have easy access to them.

Your generosity in helping fund our project will provide vital materials for my students that are not fortunate enough to have their families supply these items.

You will give a very awesome group of fourth grade children what every child deserves to have. Thank you in advance for helping my students become better prepared for their future educational requirements.
