Shredding It Up!

Help me give my students a paper shredder to protect their personal identifying information & wall shelves to display books we're reading.

My Project

Help me protect student privacy. Student safety and privacy are among our highest priorities. I handle a large amount of sensitive paperwork containing student names, addresses, phone numbers, reading levels, and other academic data.

Properly discarding information is not only a best practice—it is essential for complying with student privacy laws and ensuring the trust of our families.

Currently, I do not have a shredder to securely dispose of these documents.

Without this basic tool, we risk the unintentional exposure of confidential student information.

A shredder will allow me to:

-Safely destroy student documents that are no longer needed

-Stay compliant with FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act) regulations

-Protect our students' privacy and educational data

-Model responsible information handling for our students

Wall shelves will give me a place to display the books we are reading.
