This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I teach an amazing group of eighth-grade scholars who are motivated to learn, strive to be their best, and overcome the daily obstacles of living in low socioeconomic neighborhoods.
My students come from a variety of backgrounds; some are English Language Learners, some come from low-socioeconomic environments, and others have learning disabilities, both of which undergo struggles and when learning new concepts.
However, regardless of their differences, they work together in collaborative groups to challenge one another and strengthen each other's academic abilities.
My Project
Our students love to print pictures for their projects, but they really, really, really love to print the pictures in color! We were very lucky to receive a color printer for our classroom from our principal last year. Due to our student's excitement for printing in color, we are in need of new ink cartridges and more paper. Many of our students do not have the opportunity or have access to printers in their homes, especially in color. We would for them to have this opportunity at school.
Our students deserve to have the best resources and opportunities available to them.
Technology and understanding how to use it is imperative for success. We want to provide our students with the resources they need to achieve success. We sincerely appreciate any support you are able to provide us to accomplish this goal.
