My Students
The transition from elementary to middle school, sixth grade students may be intimidated by a bigger campus, more students, multiple teachers and classes, in an unfamiliar school. As a sixth grade teacher, I create an environment that is warm and welcoming for all my students. My goal is to make this time a stress free time for the incoming, sixth graders.
My students are a mixture of many different backgrounds on all different academic levels.
My goal for the students is the challenge them academically in math and sciences without ever compromising their character. My vision is to develop lifelong learners who continue to challenge themselves to change the world.
My Project
As a new teacher, I did not start with many materials to start teaching in my classroom. There wasn't much need for scanner/printer, but now that we are slowly getting back into the classroom, a scanner/printer is greatly needed. The addition of a scanner/printer is strictly all about the students.
As the students come back into the classroom, I want to display the awesome work that the students have worked on during this difficult school year.
By seeing their own work hanging in the classroom, all students will be encouraged to continue to work hard to show off their work. This gives students access to sharing their work physically.
The scanner will help the students to have access to physical copies of activates and books that the students normally do not have access to. Some students do not have access to all the books that I have as a teacher; therefore, I will be able to scan and share these resources with the students. This specific model will also allow me to quickly and efficiently print out any and all activities for students physically. My students will greatly benefit from this for years to comes.
