This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Superstorm Sandy hit Far Rockaway and left behind horrific damage leaving my students without everyday necessities. Their education is their lifeline and constant stability. Please help our classroom and fill it with some of our favorite books and supplies.
We are a Title 1 elementary school in NYC with a diverse population.
We are developing the students literacy and math skills and love for school. Our students are passionate and creative, however the school lacks the funds to provide the materials for an extremely exciting classroom experience. Our goal is to enrich their lives so they will be lifelong learners and positive members of their community.
My Project
Markers will be used by the students for art, writing on our dry erase board, and writing on posters. The decorations will make our classroom a prettier place and help showcase student work. The pencils will be used as incentives for my students, and pens for basic writing. The construction paper will be used for art projects and assignment covers.
I would love to enrich my students' lives and create an atmosphere where they will learn to love to read and write with passion.
