This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My first graders are an enthusiastic group of students who come to school each day with a smile and ready to learn. They are a wonderful group with diverse needs and interests. One thing they all enjoy is art. I'd like to be able to provide them with sketch books where they can safely store their drawings. They love to do guided drawings as well as their own individual art pieces. By having the sketch books their work will be safely stored in one place. I'd also like for them to create stand-up self portraits of themselves. These are a cool 3-D way to showcase their self portraits for the school community to enjoy. The multicultural crayons will be used for their self portrait project and all other art activities done throughout the year. My students and I thank you in advance for your support!
