This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

It's that time of the year for my 6th graders to show off all of the learning and knowledge that they have gained this year through our annual showcase called EXPO night! This year my students are showcasing their skills of reading, research, visual production and public speaking by working on a project called "Leader in History."

With over 100 students from underserved backgrounds I want to help create an even playing field and have all my students have access to materials and supplies to create the best visual project they can!

By being able to provide ALL my students with the necessary materials like the trifold display boards that they may not be able to get on their own, allows for my students creativity, and knowledge to shine through. All students deserve to see their hard work showcased in the best light and my goal is for all students to feel proud of their work and ready to show it off to family, staff and their friends!
