This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are a vibrant group of 1st graders. They are a group of hard-working, talented, and energetic students that love to come to school. They are constantly asking questions, exploring and making sense of the world around them, all while learning a second language.

My students love to sing, dance, laugh and express their learning.

Something that we pride ourselves on at our school is the joyful learning happening in all classrooms! What we may lack in resources we try our best to give our students other opportunities to learn and grow.

My Project

Financial Literacy Kits are a wonderful opportunity for students to play and learn about money and begin their journey to learn more about financial literacy. K-2 is the perfect time for students to develop a healthy and wise relationship with money where they feel empowered to use it accordingly. Especially being a Title I school and a community of students of color, it is imperative that students are educated from a young age. Our hope is that students feel empowered to manage money and know-how to invest and create generational wealth. It all starts at a young age and we want to take advantage of this time.
