The students at my school are awesome but at times are concerned that they do not have the "right answer" so instead of taking a leap of faith they remain silent in hopes that someone else will answer for the class.
My hope is that by using Vertical Non-Permanent Space (whiteboards) to collaborate with their team they will see that there are many ways to show your thinking and many ways to solve problems.
When students are using the whiteboards they will be standing and they will feel safe to share their ideas because the work is not permanent.
As the students are working I will be able to see everything that is happening in the classroom and be able to provide support to the teams as needed. I would also be able to assess their thinking and provide them with immediate feedback.
