Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are special because they are full of life, hope, and curiosity. They are happy and energetic although they may face set backs. The neighborhood and school are in a low social economic area. The city doesn't provide many resources for the community, so my students are grateful for anything exciting or new that they experience.
These students are caring and independent.
Throughout the day they help each other out. They work well independently and in cooperative groups.
My Project
The whiteboards and other basic materials will make a difference in my students' learning because it will provide me with a quick check of their understanding of the math concept. The reuseable write and wipe will provide students with multiple opportunities for daily practice.
Students' learning outcomes will come in a countless ways.
I will ask students to show me their thinking on the write and wipe board. They will hold it up and I will get an instant meter on how the students are understanding the math. From that point, I can modify my instruction.
