My Project

The Special Olympics provides continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy, and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with the world. Our Elementary School has always strived to provide the support needed to ensure that our besties are able to have the supplies that they need to be replenished, refreshed, and ready to finish the task at hand. However, this year has been a struggle to get funding to assist with preparing our students for the Special Olympics spring games this year. Our students are needing supplies to assist with helping them make it throughout the day.

Spring Games takes place where the weather is 90 degrees or higher.

Our students not only have severe disabilities, but also have medical needs that require them to stay hydrated while being in the heat. The ice machine will provide ice cubes for our cooler to keep our water cold and ready to drink. The water bottles will provide our besties something to drink out of while they're enjoying the activities that are taking place throughout the day.
