This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our students are bright, unique individuals who benefit from personalized, hands-on, and technology-supported learning. I am a paraprofessional in a Special Day Class (SDC) and I support a teacher, where each student has different academic needs, learning styles, and goals. Having access to a reliable laptop would significantly enhance how I can teach and support them every day.
A laptop will allow me to help create individualized lessons and materials tailored to each student’s IEP goals and learning level.
I’ll be able to quickly modify assignments, design visuals and supports, and provide digital learning opportunities that keep students engaged and motivated. During small group instruction, I can use the laptop to present interactive lessons, videos, and activities that meet the needs of different learners—whether they are working on reading skills, math concepts, or social-emotional development.
Additionally, the laptop will help me use assistive technology tools, track progress more efficiently so that we can communicate with specialists and families about student growth. It will become an essential part of our classroom—improving instruction, increasing student engagement, and supporting the success of every learner.
