My Students
My students are a diverse group of learners from New York City. They have various interests and hobbies that they are engaged in- both in school and outside of school.
They are eager and enthusiastic about learning and love working together in groups.
My students are focusing on learning research skills and on using technology. This is in order to keep up with our world today.
Another focus for my students is becoming independent and preparing for Middle school as we wrap up the last year of their Elementary School career.
My Project
We can really use a document camera for our classroom. It will be used everyday to help students learn and to enhance our teaching!
Having one will allow us to model how to solve math problems, show students example problems before they begin their work, as well as have them come up to share their work.
The camera can be used in every subject. During math, we can work on problems together before they go off to work independently.
During ELA, we can help students with their writing by giving them sentence starters and model examples of writing with them. During read aloud, I can project the pages from our book and students can read along with the text.
There are so many uses for this document camera and will help us make our lessons more interactive for the class.
