I work with many of the school's most diligent students, and I've learned that they need to see school announcements even if they've already heard them. No matter how smart they are, they appreciate reminders about big events and deadlines for college letters and scholarships. They also appreciate getting recognized for their outstanding work, so I would love to be able to provide both reminders and praise for of these kids.
I've noticed that the high-achieving students often get overlooked when it comes to special "things" like this, so this might be just what they need to feel success on even their most stressful days.
Plus, it will benefit all students who walk by my classroom each day.
