My Project
Recently, as we were working on our wave units in physics, conversations about radio came up a lot more than previous years. especially about shortwave, long-distance radio signals, stations, music, news, communication, etc. We ended up pulling some online radio emulators and listened to some digital feeds of radio stations from Japan and Europe, but one student in particular was amazed that we used to (and still do!) listen to these "ancient" devices called radios to stations that far away!
My hope is that with your help, we can get a sensitive, solid shortwave radio we can listen to in class, use in our lessons and experiments around radio waves and show students the basics of radio communication.
