My Project
The items in the shop serve as both incentives(hair gel, moisturizer, Pop-Tarts) and learning tools. (ear buds, mechanical pencils, lead) By allowing students to earn points through positive behavior, work ethic, and skill development, the shop reinforces real-world principles of responsibility, budgeting, and goal-setting.
The goal is to: Encourage Engagement & Work Ethic – Motivate students to actively participate and take pride in their work.
Teach Financial Literacy – Introduce basic concepts of earning, saving, and spending points wisely.
Reinforce Classroom Learning – Provide access to tools and materials that enhance their construction and trade skills.
Build a Positive Learning Environment – Rewarding students fosters a culture of respect, responsibility, and teamwork.

My students are hands-on learners who thrive when they can see the real-world application of their skills. They are hardworking, creative, and eager to build their futures—whether in construction or another skilled trade. Many of them learn best through doing, and this shop helps reinforce that learning while also giving them a sense of accomplishment and independence.
