Shooting for Success

My students need 24 book bins to store their books, 8 wobble cushions for movement in their seats, new headphones for use during technology and listening centers, and 14 wireless mice for working on our laptops.

My Students

My students are bursting with energy and have a strong desire to grow and learn.

The majority of my students are Native American, and due to the low socioeconomic area we live in, 100 percent of my students receive free breakfast and lunch at school.

I am aware of the challenges many of my students face, and I make sure that when they walk through my classroom door they are all given an equal opportunity to learn in a positive, encouraging environment.

My Project

Having the right tools to learn makes a huge difference in my students ability to focus and make gains. These resources will be used on a daily basis to assist students in their learning and with technology.

To be successful, my students need all the right tools for the job.

We'll use the the computer mice and headphones with our laptops to participate in activities such as typing practice, math lessons, reading books online, publishing our work, and playing our favorite (loud = headphones) math fact practice games.

The wobble cushions fit right on our seats or on the floor to help with movement while learning. My students love to use the cushions we have, and I'd love to give more students the chance to use them by adding more to our collection.

The book bins will give us added storage for our books and my students take pride in keeping our classroom organized. The book bins will also help students find books they want to read because we'll be able to separate series and have books visible.
