This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As a low-income school, we often struggle to get students involved in extra curricular activities that are not sports-centered. I have spent the last two years trying to build an Academic Decathlon program, and we have finally gotten to the place where we have a consistent team and have been on the edge of advancing to state for two years now.
With these study materials, we hope to level the playing field a bit with other private and small high schools so that we have a better chance of advancing to state in the coming 2022-2023 school year.
This subscription provides us with online support and study materials, as well as access to online tests and online scrimmages with other teams across the country. This really could be what bridges the gap and gets us to state.
