My students need archery equipment such as bows, arrows and archery target to help transform physical education class into a spring board to lifetime fitness.

My Students

The student body is diverse, both racially and socioeconomically. Fifty percent of our student body is white and fifty percent represented by five minority groups. Forty percent of our children’s families qualify for the free or reduced meal program. Students come to our charter from all across Charleston County.

I am fortunate to see every student, every week in physical education.

The school is growing from K-2 to K-8 in 2020. With this growth comes huge opportunity to grow with our students and prepare them to be successful in high school, college and beyond.

My Project

When I tell people I teach physical education they usually have a story for me. Sadly it's usually a HORRIBLE memory of how much they hated physical education! Don't let another generation of youth go through "Old school PE". Help them experience archery!

Help me bring archery to our students in the low country!

Archery in the schools develops character, improves motivation, motor ability, listening and observation skills. It's also a lot of fun!

This one time ask will last our school YEARS and HUNDREDS of students will have the opportunity to learn a sport that they will enjoy for a lifetime. I am fortunate to be able to develop a standards based physical education program from the ground up. Archery is one component of an awesome curriculum.
