My Students

All of my students are visually impaired or blind. All of our students qualify for the free lunch program. Some are learning braille as a precaution. Some are braille dependent. Some have more sight but still struggle with visual issues.

My students are all so thankful for anything that someone does for them.

They are truly my sunshine and remind me to appreciate life. We often make lessons from the project materials in addition to doing kind things for others. As a result, kindness spreads throughout our school and community.

My Project

This project is for shoes for students that do not have shoes that fit to wear to school. All of our students are on a free lunch program. Many families are still struggling financially due to Covid or other hardships.

New shoes can often lift a student's self-esteem.

Children need to focus on their lessons instead of their shoes that are worn out or not appropriate for school. Children can't learn if their basic needs aren't met.

Seeing a child's face light up when they get a pair of shoes is awesome.
