My students need 20 basic supplies, including pencils, construction paper, storage cubbies, language arts supplies and art supplies.
FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. P.'s classroom raised $545
This project is fully funded
Second grade cannot be super unless we have resources! My second grade students come from a challenging home life and view school as a safe and fun place to learn. Our classroom population includes: emotionally disturbed, learning disabled and autistic students. To achieve a classroom community, we will learn to work and discover together.
School starts soon and we lost our supply budget. The economy is taking its toll on everyone, including the future leaders of our country. Even as a highly creative teacher, there is only so much that can be done with the limited supplies from last year.
My students need basic supplies to work with in our new classroom, such as pencils, construction paper, storage cubbies, language arts supplies and art supplies. The resources on my list will help set up and maintain a classroom community with multiple supplies for students to utilize during lessons and projects. Sometimes as adults, we forget how AMAZING something like glitter can make a project.
"I hear and I forget. I see and I remember. I do and I understand" ~ Confucius
By helping to bring supplies to my classroom, my students will be able to see and do and therefore remember and understand. This is my personal teaching goal: to teach and train life long learners.
This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
