Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

At our school, we believe in the power of positive reinforcement and student recognition. Through our PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) program, we celebrate students who exemplify kindness, respect, responsibility, and leadership. Each month, we honor several students as “Students of the Month” for demonstrating these core values. To make this recognition more visible and meaningful, we are requesting an enclosed bulletin board and materials to create vibrant, personalized Star Student posters. This display will serve as a proud, central showcase of achievement for students, staff, families, and visitors to see.

The bulletin board will be maintained monthly by our student leaders, who are eager to take ownership of this meaningful task as part of their community service.

These student leaders will design, update, and organize the board each month, featuring the new group of PBIS Student of the Month honorees. This responsibility not only supports our PBIS goals, but also gives student leaders valuable experience in organization, design, and teamwork—skills that help them grow into effective role models for their peers.

By funding this project, you’re helping us create a long-lasting platform to celebrate student achievement in a public and inspiring way. More than just a display, it’s a symbol of what’s possible when students are supported, encouraged, and empowered to lead. Thank you for considering our project and for believing in the importance of recognizing student excellence and character. This is part 2 of a series of 3 to completely all participating grade levels.
