Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are adorable and friendly. They love to be at school and just like any other student, they love exploring the world around them and learning new things. It is just a little more difficult for my students since they don't have all the resources.
Out of 23 students in our classroom, 10 are English Language Learners.
High poverty combined with language learning puts our students at an even higher risk of failure. My goal is to continue to encourage them to love school as well as defeat challenges in their way and continue to support their needs with resources in the classroom. One way I want to do this is by incorporating more sensory and daily mindfulness practices including some Sand & Water Activity Tubs and Lakeshore Tactile Liquid Letters as well as books and activities that my students can use in school and at home.
