My Students
I teach at a beautiful school in Florida. I teach three classes of fourth-grade students, which means that I have a steady influx of students multiple times during the school day.
My students receive free and reduced lunch due to their parents' economic status.
They attend a Title I school where resources are limited. My students' love for learning is evident, but exposure to other forms of technology outside of school is close to nonexistent.
As a result, my classroom is in dire need of supplies, materials, and especially PPE supplies that would assist and enhance my students socially, emotionally, health-wise, and academically.
My Project
The use of these personal sneeze guards will help to protect my 4th-grade classroom environment. It will provide increased protection against the transmission of covid-19 allowing for my students to stay in school and get the education they need and deserve.
I plan to be able to use the sneeze guards so that students can work and learn at their desks safely.
These sneeze guards will allow me to be able to safely implement the curriculum, while also providing differentiated instruction.
With students having to maintain a safe distance, the sneeze guards I am requesting will provide us with the opportunity to implement some type of normalcy and creativity in classroom instruction. In other words, it provides some flexibility in the way in which I can implement fun yet safe class instruction for my students.
