This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I supervise the mentor program of my FFA Program, and we are trying to set up game days to provide bonding experiences between the mentors and their mentees. High school students can get easily lost at school, so providing a personal connection between students is a beautiful thing. I need help purchasing basic printing supplies, as I do not have a funding source for the mentor program. My students are special because they look out for one another and work to create a community to strengthen ties between students and their school. At least once a month, I plan to host game or "Connection Days" so that mentors can strengthen their bonds with their mentees. The specific outcome should be our ability to foster a warm community within the FFA. Students will use these games, office resources, and gardening tools to play, strengthen their relationships with one another by engaging in the activities provided by our generous donors!
