This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Soon enough, my students will be taking the ELA and Math state exams. The tests last two days each. There is no time limit anymore, thus allowing my students all the time they need. Students can be testing the entire day. Yes, every year, I have a group students who will be calculating and reviewing their responses until the last minute before dismissal. Whether it is their processing time or just the stress of their performance, students need some snacks to keep them motivated throughout the day. My school has a large middle school student population and is divided into five academies. I am requesting snacks for my academy of grade 6-8 students.
Having Smarties and Life Saver candies for each student will help refresh and de-stress the students during the state exam.
Eating a snack will help them focus their concentration. These snack items are less noisy than eating pretzels or crunchy cookies. I am also requesting some sugar-free options for those students with health conditions. I want the students to be able to have a break and recharge their minds and bodies to finish the testing successfully.
