My Students
My students are an eclectic bunch of students - but all of them are special in their own way. Some of my students have IEPs where they need that extra special help to help them process information to learn new concepts or finding that new way of helping them to understand new pieces of information. Other students are more 'typically" developing, while there are those who are above their peers and need extra challenges to make learning more interesting.
No matter what their learning style is, it is a joy to see their happy smiling faces each and every day.
This will be their last year in elementary school and I have had the rare pleasure of being their teacher when they were younger. It will be a sad and happy time to see them graduate and head off to Junior high in June. While they are with me these last few months, I want to provide as many opportunities for them to learn and grow as a person as I can.
My Project
My students are working and learning the same as their peers throughout the country, with technology. They have many online accounts to learn math and ELA skills. It seems that technology is the way to go and my students are eager to learn as much as they can.
Unfortunately, when all my students are on a laptop, there is a lot of noise coming from each laptop.
It becomes very hard for each child to listen to what their laptop is playing because they can hear hear their classmate's laptop as well. It can be quite confusing. We have been borrowing headphones from other classrooms and returning them each day. It would be very helpful and sanitary to give each child their own headphones to use in class.
The ultimate goal is give each child their own headphones. Therefore there will be no arguments about which headphone belongs to which child. Each child will learn responsibility as they care for their own headphones each day.
