My Students

"I don't know how to do it" is what I hear at the beginning of Kindergarten. Kindergarten is such a unique grade and this is where formalized education begins. Each year, I meet fresh new faces who are eager to learn, and at the same time hesitant to come to school.

I teach a diverse multi-lingual group of bright eyed 22 kindergarteners.

They are an active and curious group of children who come from various cultural and social economic backgrounds with varying learning needs. They come to school ready to learn and become independent learners.

My Project

New headphones for the listening center and iPad center will make a huge difference for the students trying to listen to a story or listening to directions while using an iPad. The students will be able to listen to stories independently without "outside" noise or work independently on the iPad without having the device being too noisy or causing a disruption in the class.

We have old headphones and they are not compatible with the new devices we have in the classroom.

Many times I have had to jiggle the headphone jacks in order for it to work, and the students have complained about not being to hear.
