Shelve Stocking Mania

My Students

I am a teacher in a special education classroom in a Title I school. The students at our school come from mostly low-income households that do not have much to spare for the classroom environment.

My students are all special individuals that deserve every opportunity as any other student in the school.

Each student has many needs that differ from student to student. I want to provide as much for them as I can, but I am limited in what I am able to do for the class.

My Project

Many of our students would love to work in a grocery store! Along with bagging groceries and getting carts, they would love to practice stocking the shelves. Having many of these different items for the students to sort and stock on the shelves in the classroom provides great practice before we send them out to get jobs in the real world.

Please consider helping our students become more employable by making them masters at stocking shelves!

The different canned and boxed goods, such as vegetables, soup, meat, cereal, and crackers, will give them the practice to differentiate between different labels and where the items are supposed to go.
