Shelf Help: Organizing Our Way to Success!

Help me give my students the structure and accessibility they need by using the Heavy-Duty Shelves. These shelves provide organized storage and support transitions. The shelves are a practical solution to keeping our SDC classroom safe, and inclusive.

My Project

Storage shelves empower my students to take responsibility for our classroom materials: toys, learning manipulatives, or basic supplies like crayons. They learn how to use these items and the importance of cleaning up and returning things to their proper place. Extra storage in the classroom supports better organization and helps build student independence, as they take pride in maintaining a clean and orderly environment.

Even with our limited shelving, I’ve seen incredible growth in my students' organizational skills, leadership skills, and ownership of our classroom community.

They’ve truly taken ownership of their materials and are eager to clean up after themselves. However, due to the lack of storage, we can’t display or access everything we have—we often have to store items in another classroom's closet.

Adding more storage would allow us to bring more resources into our daily learning space, giving students greater access to tools and materials throughout the day.
