Our fourth-grade classroom is a vibrant and diverse community of curious, thoughtful, and enthusiastic readers. Every day, my students explore books that help them make sense of the world and their place in it. To support their growth as empathetic and open-minded individuals, we are seeking a collection of books that celebrate racial justice, identity, and inclusion. Titles like Just Ask, Be Different, Be Brave, Be You, and The Name Jar reflect the rich diversity of our classroom and provide opportunities for meaningful discussions about acceptance, courage, and understanding.
By adding these books to our classroom library, we aim to ensure that every student can see themselves represented in the stories they read.
These texts not only affirm their experiences but also broaden their perspectives by introducing them to voices and cultures different from their own. Your support will help foster a classroom where all students feel valued, empowered, and inspired to be exactly who they are. Thank you for helping us build a library that reflects the beauty and strength of our diverse community.
