Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are elementary students learning in a hybrid model. Students attend school in person between 2 and 4 days per week and are virtual the other 1 to 5 days! It is certainly interesting teaching and learning during the Covid-19 Pandemic, but they are rising to the challenge.
My students are a diverse group, they are a mix of General Education students, Special Education students and English Language Learners.
In addition to learning about different mediums, mentor artists and art history, my students enjoy reading diverse books about a variety of artists and engaging in STEAM activities.
My students are eager to learn and I enjoy teaching, mentoring and shaping the minds of tomorrow's leaders.
My Project
With this year being the most challenging my students are really learning the core of their art craft. This light box is to help us create some amazing projects varying in different types of learning from stop motion designs to Japanese Anime. My students are a creative energetic bunch and deserve everything to help them further their talents. The light box will help them create some amazing pieces and help build up the art room as well. They're a great group of individuals, with each passing year as I grow with them I notice how much they really want to use the light box to help create some amazing art.
