My Students
My students are part of a stage crew I have been working on developing over the last few years. They are interested in stage design and lighting but have had limited opportunities to develop these interests due to COVID. I would like to have some materials in hand for when we return to school.
I have acquired various lights, hands tools and materials in the last few years and when I bring these materials in for the students to handle and create with, they absolutely light up.
Students that would otherwise skip classes or tune out are asking questions, engaging in conversations with their peers and begging to spend more time on the stage.
My students are grateful for opportunities to learn through hands on and real-world experiences that stage crew offers them.
My Project
This light will benefit all students in the school as well as community members. Students in the stage crew will earn to operate the equipment and properly light a stage for production. Students on the stage performing will look spectacular in this professional lighting. The audience will be wowed by the production's spectacular glow.
The students involved with the stage crew are genuinely interested in the hands on experience and rarely have opportunities to be involved in long-term projects.
This lighting equipment will allow them to be a part of something they can be proud of.
