Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Math, reading, science: these are typical subjects you can expect our students to learn about every day. However, our students have special needs and many have one more important topic to learn about - social skills! Did you know that social emotional learning is linked to greater academic success, fewer behavioral problems and less emotional distress?
As the school psychologist, it is my role to provide school based counseling to my students who need help with their social emotional development.
My students have a wide range of strengths and deficits. In order to meet their needs, it is important for me to have a multitude of resources, worksheets, lesson plans and a curriculum that I can access in order to help them meet their goals. The gift cards to Teachers Pay Teachers will allow me to purchase many pre-made social-emotional lessons and activities that my students need in order to develop their social-emotional functioning.
These educational resources from Teachers Pay Teachers will allow my students to learn crucial life skills, including the ability to understand their emotions, develop a positive self-image, make responsible decisions, and forge relationships with the people around them.
