My students use pencils to do their school work all day long. We are constantly sharpening broken pencils and running out of pencils in our 2nd grade classroom. Inexpensive pencil sharpeners break frequently, because we are using the sharpener frequently. We waste valuable learning time trying to get our pencils sharpened multiple times a day.
If we have a high volume pencil sharpener and durable pencils, like Ticonderoga, my students will be able to get their work done more efficiently, without pencils breaking, or lost class time, due to a broken pencil sharpener.
The productivity in the classroom will increase greatly if we have the proper tools to get our work done.
