This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Within the beautiful community of Jackson Heights, N.Y., I have the privilege of working with very enthusiastic, and ambitious, young learners. My students are engaged in a dual language program, in which, we aim to become successful learners in English and in Spanish. This school year, we are preparing to welcome all students back into the classroom for in-person learning. I am as determined as my students to ensure they have the tools necessary to continue doing their best learning.
My Project
As we continue our learning this school year, we are eager to ensure we have the right tools to utilize every minute of the school day, effectively.
Students are encourage to maintain their classroom materials independently, including, sharpening their own pencils as needed.
So far we have gone through about 25 hand held sharpeners. As well, we are in need of copy paper to showcase all we learn.
Please help us purchase and electric sharpener, along side copy paper, to help student continue showing what they know, and learn with ease!
