My Students
My Kindergarten Special Education Students face many difficulties everyday coming to school. Not having the proper pencil sharpener should not be one of them!
My wonderful kindergarten students are in a 12:1:1 Self-Contained Special Education program in a Title 1 funded school.
My students work hard every day towards achieving the same academic goals as their general education peers. The disabilities of the students in my class include autism, speech & language impaired and learning disabled.
My Project
Imagine, you are sitting, finally focused on your writing, and BOOM, your pencil breaks. What are you to do?
Well in my classroom right now, you would have to disturb the whole entire class that is trying to focus and learn themselves to sharpen your pencil with our old, noisy, outdated pencil sharpener (that hardly even works to begin with)
With this pencil sharpener and pencils, my students are able to sharpen their pencils with a quality sharpener, and get back to their rigorous work, instead of spending time using a sharpener that just eats their pencil instead!
