My students need 1 heavy duty electric pencil sharpener.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Have you ever sat and watched a child so engrossed in his writing that he was oblivious to all else going on around him? I teach writing skills to 2nd graders of low-income, poverty level parents. These skills help them use their imaginations to travel to a better, safer, more fantastic place.
These precious children have not had the opportunity to travel and experience things that many other children have. They rely on their imaginations to lift them out of their present world and soar to new heights where anything is possible.
Our children are in need of a really well made heavy duty electric pencil sharpener. They try to sharpen their pencils with the manual wall mounted unit, but they scratch up their little knuckles and the effort to use this unit is so great they eventually give up.
Your donations will make it possible for a group of well deserving 2nd graders to spend less time sharpening pencils and more time using their imaginations to create new masterpieces.
