My Students

We are a Title 1 school and over 50% receive free and reduced lunch.

We are located in a small town. Our students range from low to upper class, but most of our students are lower income kids. Our kids love to have fun and learn. We want to give every kid the opportunity the learn more, and be good at what they do.

My Project

In today's society, everyone is all about making that mighty dollar. In my Career Prep classes, we have been discussing what it takes to become an entrepreneur. We have been discussing about how people make money in the world today. We started brainstorming about inventions and ideas. I had previously watched Shark Tank. This is a show about everyday people coming up with an idea that they want to sell or have been selling and need investors. So in my classes we will have our own Shark Tank. I will put my kids into groups to come up with an idea to sell. The class will be the sharks. They will be using the supplies: poster board, crayons, tape, glue, markers, and construction paper to create their projects and advertisement. I just can't wait to see them in action. Look out world, we have some smart kids heading your way.
