SHARK Hub: Apple Tech Lab for Dock Street Students
At our school, we are committed to providing our students with a high-quality STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) education, but our current technology is outdated.
Our computers are slow, our laptops are out of warranty, and our students lack access to the tools necessary to develop 21st-century skills. To bridge this gap, we are creating the SHARK Hub, an Apple Tech Lab that will equip our students with the resources they need to explore coding, digital design, music production, and multimedia storytelling.
The SHARK Hub will transform learning by providing access to cutting-edge Apple technology. With MacBooks, iPads, Apple Pencils, and creative software, students will develop apps using Swift Playgrounds, produce videos with Final Cut Pro, compose music in GarageBand, and bring projects to life through 3D modeling and augmented reality tools. These resources will allow students to code, design, innovate, and express themselves creatively while building the skills they need for future careers in technology, media, and the arts.
This space will not only support our STEAM curriculum but also serve as a community learning hub where students can collaborate on projects, lead workshops, and showcase their work.
