Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are three- to five-year-old with disabilities that love learning and exploring their environment. My students love arts and crafts, technology (all the time), singing, dancing, and all-around fun and engaging activities to partake in. My classroom is full of busy bees, along with my co-teacher, as my program is a collaborative program.

Collaborating with a general education teacher and her students enables my kiddos to have the much-needed peer modeling they need.

Not only do we have 10 special needs students but 14 general education students to work with as a team! This benefits my students on so many levels.

This project will help fund a portable printer, film and photo paper for students to be able to make visuals and add pictures to in-class work to share with families.

My students are always on the go and having visuals during small group instruction is highly needed for my special education kiddos. We also make memorable work pages that we add pictures to it to give to parents as keepsakes. Having various sizes of pictures will help our kiddos and make our work even more special. Furthermore, with the portable printer, my students will be able to share meaningful learning experiences and memories with their families on our classroom page. This is a great opportunity and skill for my students to learn.
