We are a small rural school district. We work hard to provide opportunities for our students that meet all of their needs, both academically and socially-emotional.
Our students currently navigate in-person and remote learning.
They continue to rise to daily challenges and benefit greatly from opportunities to connect their learning through various modalities.
My Project
2020 has been a challenging year for students, they have been more confined than normal and school has changed from Hybrid to Remote and back to Hybrid again. My students know I love to travel and are fascinated by learning about other parts of the world.
I would love to help them "travel" in 2020 through this subscription.
My students are hard-working but struggle in school. All of my students come for additional support or for Special Education services. Learning is hard for them every day and they do not let it deter them. I would love to have a new tradition in 2020- a monthly food experience where they are able to learn about a new country. If we become remote once more these items can be delivered or mailed to their homes so that they can travel the world as a class and as a family. This subscription would encourage my students to try new things and create shared experiences we would not otherwise be able to have amid the pandemic. Building community and looking after their mental health is challenging, this would be an incredible way to "travel" while building our community together.
