Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
In this dual-language classroom, my students come from a Title I school, in the south Bronx. With us leaving abruptly and unsure of future abilities to teach in the classroom, I feel the need to prepare myself and design a distance learning classroom, comparable to our room at school.
I would truly grateful and for any and all help that will be granted to me.
My Project
I would love for my students, to become avid readers. I am asking for a variety of books that will lend itself to many strategies and events in our lives.
As a dual language class, this class is has cultural diversity, and there is nothing more beautiful then students getting an understanding of each other.
As well as they will be able to clearly see the book and read along with me, while reading with me, using their computers. I also chose digital magazines, in math and reading. This could be for current events, informal assessments or Friday fun readings.
My students jumped in along with us, into virtual learning and this may be our new normal. I just know I must build a very creative and organized setting to teach them in. I must give them as many resources as I can possibly give to each and every student.
