This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Students from this school come from around the local area. We are located by the Port of LA. I seek to spark the love of learning to the students in our learning community.
I am a first grade teacher to a wonderful group of students who are eager to increase their knowledge this school year that lies ahead of them.
Our 1st grade learning adventure has been a great experience, but they are eager to see what new adventures await them in our 1st grade class!
My Project
The Science Curriculum Learning Module from New Path Learning will provide resources that will support my teaching of 25 1st Grade Science topics that will include plants & animals' life cycles, the human body, Earth’s resources. force & motion, and much more. The curriculum even provides games! The Fountas and Pinnell's Sing a Song of Poetry for Grade 1 allows students to experience opportunities to enjoy the richness that poetry can provide them as they expand as readers.
The engagement and reinforcement through learning games and rich poetry will help the students enjoy practicing the knowledge learned in our classroom.
